About Brian

Lead game designer, writer, and escape room consultant, Brian Freyermuth, has designed games for 25 years, working on hit titles such as Fallout, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Tales from the Borderlands, and Minecraft: Story Mode. He is currently designing a game that teaches students how to code in Python and JavaScript in classrooms, at CodeCombat in San Francisco, California.  His goal is to use his extensive knowledge to help companies make engaging, narrative-based games, whether they are video games or escape rooms.

He published the supernatural murder mystery novel, “Demon Dance” and co-authored the sequel “Mind of the Beast” with his wife, Juliet. They are writing book 3 in the series and a spin-off short story about one of their favorite characters, Cate.

Brian is a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America and the Horror Writer’s Association. He has a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Irvine.
